We had a fun 4th of July weekend. Friday we went the pool in the neighborhood and played. Landon had a good time. After naptime we went to FC Dallas soccer game. There were some rain storms in the area which cooled the temperature down just enough. We decided we would go back to Plano for fireworks so we could be closer to home. We went to get Lady and some drinks and snacks from the house, and then went to a middleschool near our house to watch the Plano fireworks. Landon enjoyed seeing them, but because it was late he got very tired and ended up watching the end laying on our shoulders.
Saturday we had our usual morning at the gym and going to Gymboree. After lunch we went to Whitley Taylor's first birthday party. There were several other kids there so Landon had fun, and we had a good time visiting with everyone. Landon got to play in the kiddie pool with the
other kids and had a really good time. They got to throw the ball, splash in the water and attempt sharing amongst 1 to 2 1/2 year olds. Whitley enjoyed her cake and got it all over Amy. A couple of the kids had to be "rinsed off" in the kiddie pool since they enjoyed their cake so much.That night we had dinner with Beth, Andrew and Cade Hamilton. They recently have moved back to town so it was good to catch up with them. We got to eat at Blue Mesa and then dessert at Paciugo.
Landon said a couple times over the weekend he wanted to see fireworks. Sunday we went to lunch after swimming in the morning, and Landon was so tired he basically leaned over and went to sleep on Greg. He was really tired from staying up late two nights in a row.
