1/30 - Landon got to be King of the week. He was so excited about it. He wanted to wear a nice shirt since he was king. Things he got to do as King - do the calendar, be line leader all week, help hand out papers, he even said that he had to tell class to be quiet several times.
He came home this week with a list of compliments that his class mates said about him. I thought it was fun to see. This is what they said:

- He is cute - he made a big deal of this one thinking that is how girls are described, I let him know that's what girls say when we think boys are good looking

1/29 - Marvin helped Landon ready his books this morning. We had several projects to work on this weekend. We had a poster to make for Landon's King of th week, we had to document our fun with Marvin, and start making a shirt for 100 day of class - Landon decided to paint Ls all over his shirt - he has to paint 100 of them. We are halfway done. Kids really wanted to work on Valentines, but we didn't have time.
1/28 - Greg needed to help pops so we all went to Janice and Tony's for a little while. They got to meet Marvin and hang out with the kids some. Marvin helped Landon build some legos. Greg had planned to go to dinner with the boys so kids and I met Grammy and Gramps for dinner at Bonnie Ruth's. They got to meet Marvin as well. Yummy!
1/27 - Landon gets to be King of the Week next week. So he got to bring home Marvin the monkey to share the weekend with. Marvin has been to the store, he got to ride to dinner with us, go to Bliss and see all the yummy cupcakes.
1/26 - Kasey has been sick this week. She woke up with pretty bad runny nose Monday/Tuesday. Thursday she woke up with lots of stuff in her eye but we don't think it's pink eye. She seems to be feeling better. She got to watch several movies while she wasn't feeling well.
1/22 - We had a fun day. Kids and I had donuts for breakfast. We went to see Beauty and the Beast in the theater because they had a non 3D showing. Landon got pretty scared in a few places, but did ok. I think they liked it, but we really went because I wanted to see it.
In the afternoon they opened up a place by us called Connemara. It's a nature reserve that is open sometimes to walk through. We took a 45 minute walk around and enjoyed being out in nice weather. Landon goes there sometime for school so he showed us around some :)
1/21 - We got a letter today with some test scores from testing they did at Landon's school. He did pretty well and looks like he qualifies for further testing to see about being part of the gifted and talented program. We'll learn more this coming week what that means, but we are excited and very proud of him.
We had a busy day. I had a celebration of life to go to for a co-workers wife who passed away a few weeks ago. Then I took Kasey to a birthday party at Gymboree - the lady who did the party had taught both Kasey and Landon at Gymboree so it was good to see her. Then we came home and got the kids bathed and in bed. Greg went out to dinner at Bobs with the boys, and a few friends from the block came over for wine and some good girl talk.
1/20 - I went to Landon's school and had lunch with him. Greg had already made Landon's lunch when I told him I was going to do that, so he made me a lunch as well. He wanted me to make my lunch, but I was running late for work.
1/19 - Kasey took her first swimming lesson. 3 kids in her class and she had fun. She said they did lots of kicking :)
1/16 - They decided that Kasey could move up to the next level in her gymnastics class. After that during the week she kept saying, I need to run for my gymnastics class or I need to practice different things for her gymnastics class.
1/15 - Kids didn't have school on Monday so Greg and I met up with Dave, Doug, Tracy and Elizabeth to exchange wine from our trip and get some dinner at Zorbas. The kids got to spend the night at grandparents. Greg and I then went to a movie - we went to see Mission Impossible.
1/14 - We decided to change out Kasey's earrings from when she got them pierced. She did not like that. The instructions said to wriggle the earring to get it off. Whatever wriggle means. I ended up having to bend it and poor baby cried and said it hurt. She was ok after, but didn't like it. She choose to wear pearl earrings that her cousins Haley and Ashlyn had given her.
Kids and I went to park to play. We decided to play hide and seek. At playground there really isn't any place to hide, but we played anyway. The kids would count pretty fast so you had to run to find a place. Kasey didn't really understand hiding, but she was good at seeking. At any rate, we had a great time. Kasey kept asking to go back to the park and play hide and seek
1/8 - 1/13 - I went to Las Vegas for CES which was good but crazy. Didn't have as much time to walk around this year as last year.
1/7 - We had a fun neighborhood party. We decided to do a progressive dinner. We have 4 families on the block with kiddos the same age. We started at one house for appetizers and Cosmopolitans for the ladies, then off to next house where we had tortilla soup, salad and enchiladas for main course with some wine, and then to our house for dessert and some port/wine. Kids had a great time and the adults enjoyed it as well. Next time we'll probably do it at one person's house so we don't all have to clean our houses.
1/6 - I finally got my hair cut after about 4 months, my hair was a mess. I was close to my parents so I went by and had a quick lunch with them which was nice. I don't get to do that much at all. Then back to work again. My dad was released from doctors today after his two knee replacement surgeries. He had first one on November 18th and 2nd one on December 1st. He did a great job sticking with physical therapy and doing exercises like he was supposed to. His first knee has 30 degree range of motion and 2nd knee has 28 degree (which the doctor is very pleased with)
1/2/12 - Last day of holidays. We had kind of lazy day. We went to Kasey's gymnastics class to see her play. She does well on some parts and just plays on others. Kids and I got to go to the park for a while. There were big kids there, but the kids just went on playing. Landon did good on monkey bars, Kasey swung in the baby swing for a while. Landon then tried out gymnastics class as well that night. He got to do stuff in the foam pit, stretch, do arm work on bars and rings, and also do some jumping and trampoline. He really enjoyed it and got a good work out out of it.
1/1/12 - Had a good day. we slept in some which was nice, and then got up and all took showers. We went to lunch at Cotton Patch Cafe because I knew they would have Black Eyed Peas - luckily both kids at some. Then at the end Kasey lost it because I wouldn't pick her up in the parking lot. She was tired, so she took a nap. Landon and I played his new Monopoly game from Grammy and Gramps which he liked a lot. Then we rested some and decided to go outside on nice day. Greg went for bike ride and I took kids out for little walk and to play at the playground. Landon did well on the monkey bars, Kasey loved swinging, and they went all over playground even though there were older boys playing football on the playground. I guess it's good they aren't scared. Then we headed out for dinner and found multiple places closed - we ended up at Bonnie Ruths for some good dinner and excellent dessert. Yum. Good way to start new year.
