Pee Pee in the Potty

Landon went Pee Pee in the Potty for the first time today. He was in the bathtub and said pee pee in the potty. I asked him if he wanted to go in the potty and he said yes. I put the potty seat on the big potty and got him out of the bath with a quick pat dry. He sat down and went Pee Pee in the potty. I got very excited and told him good job. He started clapping for himself. We called Daddy downstairs to come up. Landon got to flush the potty for the first time which he was very excited about. He got back in the bath, but he didn't want to do anything else until he told Daddy what he did. Greg came up with a fruit smoothy, and Landon told him Pee Pee in Potty. Greg told him good job and Landon clapped.

In the bath Landon wanted to sing the ABCs really fast. He did pretty good with the alphabet. Skipping some letters, but he got about 3/4 of them. It was cute. He also sang Blues Clues and Baa Baa Black Sheep tonight.

Landon really liked the fruit smoothly....

After he got out of the bath we called his grandparents (Grandma, Pops, Grammy, Gramps). He told each of them one by one Pee Pee in Potty. He was very excited, and we are all very proud of him.

Saw baby move

Our little girl definitely kicks and move, but I hadn't actually seen her move before today. I was excited to see her move. Saw Landon move around the 21st week so I guess it's about the same. Hopefully some day soon Greg and Landon will get to see or feel her move.

We're trying to find a name, but not having much luck. We'll figure it out.

Greg's Birthday Weekend

We had some good celebrations for Greg's birthday.

Greg's Grandfather was in town so we went to Grandma and Pops on Friday night for dinner to spend some time with him.


Saturday night evening we went to Zorbas (Greek Restaurant) with Grammy and Gramps to celebrate Greg's birthday. Greg went to a soccer game after this and Landon and I went to Grammy and Gramps to scan sonogram pictures and hang out. After Greg got home from the soccer game I went to meet Beth and some of her friends in Garland to see Mamma Mia. Great movie if you like ABBA and/or the musical

Sunday we made French toast and sausage for breakfast. Cooking was a family effort which was fun. We met Grandma, Pops, Cindy, Grandpa and Nanny at Big Easy (Cajan restaurant in Plano), and then we went back to Grandma and Pops for Greg's favorite birthday cake. After this we came home so Landon and I could take a nap. When Landon woke up we went to Celebration Park in Allen. They have a water park for the kids to run through and a huge playground. Landon wasn't to sure about the water at first, but once he got into it he had a great time. It was a little hot for me, but it was still fun. Greg got to go to another soccer game that night with Dave. Greg got to have a free beer after the game, and so they hung out for a while. Greg got home about 1am.

We had a couple late nights - me Saturday with the movie and Greg Sunday after the game. We had a good weekend overall, but are tired.

It's a Girl!!!!!

We had our 20 week sonogram today and it's a girl. We are very excited. Everything looked good on the sonogram. We got to see moving hands, 4 chambers of the heart, brain, spine, legs, feet, and face. The amniotic fluid looks good. She was breech at the sonogram, but there is no issue this early in the pregnancy

The measurements showed that due date is Nov 30th. This is one day off so she is doing fine growth wise. She weighs about 7 oz.

Greg's dad had some good predictions when Landon was born, and he thought it was going to be a girl. I also thought it was going to be a girl (just had a feeling). We would have been happy either way, but Greg and I both commented that we are VERY excited not to have to go through a circumcision again.

This was our first visit with Jeanean at the new practice. The office is very nice and I'm glad that for sure Jeanean will be the one delivering our little girl. We'll be delivering at the same hospital where Landon was born. (For those who don't know Jeanean is the midwife that delivered Landon).

I've gained about 5 pounds total (including gaining back the 3 I had lost in the first trimester).

Birthday Celebrations

This weekend we had a couple birthday celebrations that were fun.

Saturday night we had Goodson/Myers family over for a surprise birthday party for Greg's uncle. He was surprised, and we had a great food. Landon had a good time seeing everyone and playing with his cousins Rachel and Scott.

In one of the pictures you see a birthday Elephant. Landon likes to press the button and it sings Happy Birthday to You.

Sunday we went to dinner at Abuelos to celebrate Gramp's Birthday, and then we went back to Grammy and Gramps house for dessert. Greg and Gramps played the new Playstation 3 Baseball game, and Landon had fun playing with Grammy.

Landon likes saying Happy Birthday. Most of the time he thinks it's his birthday, but he knows that this month is Gramps and Daddy's birthday.

Playing Baseball

Last Friday July 11th, we created a way for Landon to play baseball. We finished a roll of paper towels and so the cardboard part became the bat, and a balloon we had around became the ball. Landon would stand in a batter's stance and we would throw the balloon. He was actually pretty good at hitting it. It was very cute, and so now it's one of his new fun activities.

Landon has been doing more singing. He can sing I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Blues Clues.

He's started saying I'm sorry more. Sometimes we don't understand why, and other times he's saying sorry for something that he did or didn't do.

This Thursday we're going to the Dr and we'll know if we are having a boy or girl. I'm very excited so I can start planning.

Pregnancy update

I'm 19 weeks along, and so I'm almost 1/2 way through the pregnancy. Time flies. Things seem to be going well. I've decided to move practices where the Midwife I've been seeing for several years has moved. I have my first appointment there on the 17th of July. It will be an OB check and 20 week sonogram. We'll find out then if it's a boy or a girl (yea I can actually start planning).

I still get tired on the weekends and take naps when Landon does, but overall I'm feeling well. I'm still working out doing aerobics 3-4 times a week which makes me feel good.

I don't really have cravings or aversions to smells, but I didn't with Landon either.

We're trying to figure out what to do with furniture and rooms upstairs for the kids (move Landon, keep him in the same room, buy Landon new furniture or the baby new furniture, etc).

4th of July Weekend

We had a fun 4th of July weekend. Friday we went the pool in the neighborhood and played. Landon had a good time. After naptime we went to FC Dallas soccer game. There were some rain storms in the area which cooled the temperature down just enough. We decided we would go back to Plano for fireworks so we could be closer to home. We went to get Lady and some drinks and snacks from the house, and then went to a middleschool near our house to watch the Plano fireworks. Landon enjoyed seeing them, but because it was late he got very tired and ended up watching the end laying on our shoulders.

Saturday we had our usual morning at the gym and going to Gymboree. After lunch we went to Whitley Taylor's first birthday party. There were several other kids there so Landon had fun, and we had a good time visiting with everyone. Landon got to play in the kiddie pool with the other kids and had a really good time. They got to throw the ball, splash in the water and attempt sharing amongst 1 to 2 1/2 year olds. Whitley enjoyed her cake and got it all over Amy. A couple of the kids had to be "rinsed off" in the kiddie pool since they enjoyed their cake so much.

That night we had dinner with Beth, Andrew and Cade Hamilton. They recently have moved back to town so it was good to catch up with them. We got to eat at Blue Mesa and then dessert at Paciugo.

Landon said a couple times over the weekend he wanted to see fireworks. Sunday we went to lunch after swimming in the morning, and Landon was so tired he basically leaned over and went to sleep on Greg. He was really tired from staying up late two nights in a row.

Cooking and Sequential Screen

Sunday Landon and I cooked muffins. Landon helped poor in the ingredients and started mixing. He started mixing things right out of the bowl, but it was still fun. We also made orange juice, and he poured in the water pretty much by himself. He also mixed it up in the pitcher.

Yesterday I brought Landon's shoes downstairs in my work bag, and I forgot to take them out. So when I got to work today I found his shoes. A little while later I got an IM saying Mommy take shoes work. Oops!

Today they called and said that the second part of my sequential screen came back normal and that everything was fine. This second blood test is supposed to give screening results that are 90% accurate whether or not the baby will have Down syndrome and trisomy 18.

Landon is sort of learning the days of the week. He knows Friday very well. Tonight when tucking him in bed I said I'll see you tomorrow, and he said see you Friday. I told him that I would see him tomorrow which is Wednesday.
